Chris and Amber are in full wedding swing as they got engaged on february 28th and are planning to get married on the 20th of June. So here is the scoop (not ice cream) on the engagement. It all started on a wonderful night in Fargo, ND. Amber was feeling horrendous due to the flu; she had this beautiful Rudolph nose that accented her dog like cough. She decided that even though she was not feeling the best she still wanted to go on a double date with her parents to watch the play “Westside story.” What she didn’t know is that this entire week her boyfriend “Chris,” had been conspiring with her father on how he was going to ask Amber to marry him.
After the play, they all went back to the Lehman’s’ home. This is where the plans kicked in. Amber and her mom were ready to go to bed, but Chris and Vic had other plans, as Chris started a fire in the fireplace Vic whisked his wife away so that Amber and Chris could have some time together. Amber was trying to hint to Chris that it was time for him to go home, but that could not happen till the plans for the night were over. Chris began to prepare a special treat of strawberries and chocolate to dip it in as a reminder of the first gift he had ever bought for her (chocolate covered strawberries.) What a romantic.
Chris opened his computer and told Amber that he had a movie that he had made and wanted her to watch. It was a movie compiled of photos of their time together along with a poem that told Amber how much she meant to him. The movie ended with an open slide that said insert text here at this time Chris got down on one knee and told Amber that she was the woman that he wanted to spend his life with, he told her that he did not know if he should ask her because she was so sick but he wanted her to know that he would stand with her through all trouble and difficulties, in sickness and health, he would strive to love her more each and every day. At this point he pulled out the ring box, opened it up, and asked Amber to marry him. You want to know what her response was,…….. “I’ll think about it.” Chris responded with “Seriously?” She had said it with a smirk on her face and immediately followed with “yes!!!!!” Wooohooo!!!!!! For reasons unknown to them (hahaha) Amber didn’t feel as sick any more. They went to tell her parents who were waiting up in bed for the Good news. And there you have it for all you sappy (not like amber sap) people.
